Islands Of Scotland Award
Launched in the mid-90s, the Islands Of Scotland Award, IOSA, has achieved
world-wide popularity and recognition. Drawing on experience from the RSGB's
IOTA programme, IOSA challenges participants to work up to 210 different
Scotland
Islands. Here's a complete
IOSA Island list
including latitudes and longitudes.
Note that many of the islands are privately-owned, and
permission both to land and to operate is required. The permission status
of each island is shown in the above list.
IOSA includes awards both for Island Chasers, and for Island Activators.
There is an
IOSA Honour Roll for those who are the most active.
